Note: Tune up balls, corgeous balls, resistance bands, and blocks are used in this course and are not included in the course price. Participants are required to purchase their own props online or through their local retailer.

Meet your instructors
Megan Prenty, CYT 500, RMT
Alana Rigby, RYT 200
Megan started her journey into the health and wellness field in 2007 when she graduated from a massage practitioner program in Vancouver. After working in the field for seven years she returned to Ontario to continue her education and became an RMT in 2016. Megan is also a trained 500 hour Yoga Teacher with over ten years of experience teaching, where she combines her love of anatomy, movement and self-care for clients.
Megan is passionate about mental and physical health, with her RMT practice focusing on the postural strain and stress management. As a movement teacher, Megan specializes in Restorative and pain care practices, functional movement and mindfulness practices to help with nervous system regulation and muscle care. Additionally, she recently completed her Masters in Counseling and Psychology. She now works in private practice providing psychotherapy with individuals with a focus in anxiety, perfectionism, and grief.
Alana teaches yoga, Pilates, and aerial fitness in Kitchener-Waterloo and online. Fitness is her second career. After earning her Bachelors English Literature and Rhetoric and her Masters in Communications and Digital Design, Alana worked in marketing and communications at the University of Waterloo for eight years. Then the pandemic hit and she felt it was time to find a career that allowed for more movement, creativity, and joy.
She completed her yoga teacher training in 2022 and has been teaching an average of 10-13 classes a week since then. She specialises in vinyasa yoga and functional Pilates, and is passionate about creating an inclusive space, making her classes accessible for all. She continues to work part-time for the university, writes a lot, and gets outside as often as she can.
